Moore Township Athletic Association is proud to offer, and strongly supports, a cheerleading program for all children between the ages of 4-13 (PreK to 7th Grade). Athletes may choose to cheer for just Game Day Cheer (cheer at football games) or for both Game Day and Competition teams.
The Game Day season runs from July through October, during which time the athletes learn sideline dances and cheers, as well as perform a half-time routine at football games. Our Game Day athletes perform at Moore Township Community Days, participates in Youth Night at Northampton High School and are there to support the football players and cheer them on!
Cheer Camp is held the end of June and is a great opportunity for children to experience our cheer program. They will learn cheers, dances, jumps, tumble as well as play games and have a ton of fun!
Game Day practices begin in July and are on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays from 6:00-8:00 pm at the Moore Recreational Center Football field.
The Competition athlete's season runs from mid-August through December, participating in approximately 5 competitions. Practices are on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays. Practice days depend on which team your athlete participates on.
Tryouts for the Competition team are held mid-August. There is an additional sign-up fee for the Comp Teams of $150. This will be charged after tryouts are complete.
We also offer several stunt clinics in the off season.
