About the Program

Moore Township Athletic Association is proud to offer, and strongly support, a cheerleading program to all children between the ages of 4-13 (PreK to 7th Grade). Athletes may choose to cheer on just the Game Day Cheer Squad (cheer at football games) or cheer for both Game Day and Competition Squads.

The Game Day season runs from mid-July through October, during which time the athletes learn sideline dances and cheers as well as perform a half-time routine at football games. Our Game Day athletes perform at Moore Township Community Days, participates in Youth Night at Northampton High School and are there to support the football players and cheer them on!

Cheer Camp is held in July and is a great opportunity for children to experience our cheer program. They will learn cheers, dances, jumps, tumble as well as play games and have a ton of fun!

Game Day practices begin in July and are on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays from 6:00 -8:00 pm at the Moore Recreational Center Football field.

The Competition athlete's season runs from September through early February, participating in approximately 6 competitions.  Practices will be Mondays for  grades 5-8 and Tuesdays for grades 1-4, and a split practice on Thursday. Grades 1-4 practice from 6:00-7:00 pm and Grades 5-8 practice from 6:45-8:00 pm. 6U also practices on Thursday's from 6-7:30 pm.

Tryouts for the Competition team are held towards the end of August. There is an additional sign-up fee for the Comp Teams of $125. This will be charged after tryouts are complete.

We are also offering several stunt clinics in the off season.
